Beauty Without Cruelty SA

Towards the end of 2023, we were approached by Beauty Without Cruelty in South Africa to help them update their Humane Guide. It soon became apparent that both websites they were left with, from previous developers, needed to be updated and made easier to maintain by the BWC team. So, we suggested that we could help them revamp their websites completely by condensing it into one website and also give them a fresh look with easy navigation and digital forms to streamline their admin processes.

What We Did

BWCSA is a well established charity based in South Africa. They are dedicated to improving the rights of animals in the country and especially when it comes to banning animal testing. We took on the project without charging, as we totally believe in their work, and were honoured to assist in creating a new site. Our main goal was to make the Humane Guide easily searchable, for businesses to easily apply and for the admin side to be straight forward when adding new listings. We created some new imagery too, for the Humane Guide Endorsement page. Navigation was improved by simplifying the menu and categorising the main issues BWC focus on, so that readers can easily get to the information they’re interested in. Donations and volunteers are important for the charity to function, so we improved these pages, by simplifying the information and creating clear actions for readers to get involved and donate.

Due to BWC being a charity, we managed to get them free hosting with Kualo – a UK based company that offer green powered hosting globally. Thanks Kualo for helping make our world a kinder place!

Get in Touch

Krissie and her team revamped our website, modernising it and making it easier for users to navigate and also to update ourselves. In an era of apathy, and a general air of take it or leave it, the professionalism, courtesy and service excellence we received has become all too rare these days. It has been an absolute pleasure to deal with her and the OYOO team.
